Education and qualifications
Ankur completed his college education at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He cleared his CA between 2014 and 2017 and completed the CFA programme in 2018, alongside the CS qualification.
On what drew him to the field, he says: "It all began with a fascination for numbers – the way they tell stories, move markets, and shape businesses. That fascination led me to CA and CFA."
Work experience
His entire corporate career so far has been at Goldman Sachs, where he worked for seven years. He joined in valuation and pricing and later moved into an Infrastructure and Product Specialist role. His work there covered markets, risk and the functioning of global financial systems, which is the experience he now draws on while mentoring.
Interests
Ankur follows the global economy closely, including macroeconomic developments, policy changes and stock market movements, and reads on these regularly. Outside finance, he is a cricket enthusiast.
Approach to work
Ankur keeps his focus on short-term, consistent improvement rather than long-term targets. In his words: "I try to live in the moment. My focus is on becoming 1% better every day not just professionally, but personally too. If I can add value to myself each day, the future will take care of itself."
