Jaipur-based healthtech startup Aignosis has raised ₹4 crore in a seed round led by Antler and Nikhil Kamath, with Varun Dua and IIMA Ventures also participating.
The most interesting detail isn't the cheque size it's the target behind it. Aignosis has run 8,000+ screenings so far and now wants to hit 1 lakh screenings by FY27, a roughly 12.5x jump in under two years.
That's an aggressive scale-up for a healthtech product still working almost entirely through government primary health centres, not private hospitals.

A Laptop Webcam Instead of a Specialist
Founded in 2024 by Raksheet Jain and Divyansh Mangal, Aignosis built an AI tool to flag children who may need further evaluation for autism or developmental delays.
The screening needs nothing more than a standard laptop and webcam. A child aged 16 months to 9 years goes through nine short video modules.
Computer vision then reads behavioural signals eye gaze, response to their name, reactions to facial expressions to flag risk, without offering a clinical diagnosis itself.
The startup has already cleared India's CDSCO regulatory process and holds Class B certification, a meaningful hurdle for any medical-adjacent AI tool trying to operate inside the formal healthcare system.
Betting on Government Clinics, Not Metro Hospitals
Most healthtech startups chase private hospitals in big cities first Aignosis has gone the opposite way.
It runs on a Clinic-in-Clinic model, already deployed across 20+ government Primary Health Centres in Rajasthan. The new capital will push this into Punjab, NCR, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
It's also partnered with Mankind Pharma, whose medical representatives now support screening camps alongside paediatricians a distribution channel most startups don't have access to.
Aignosis was also picked for a Google startup cohort, selected from over 1,600 applicants a credibility signal, if not a capital one.
What ₹4 Crore Can't Buy
A 12.5x screening target on ₹4 crore is a thin budget for the operational lift required training clinic staff, maintaining hardware, and building referral pipelines across seven new states isn't cheap at primary-care scale.
The Mankind Pharma partnership is doing real work here: it effectively outsources field distribution that Aignosis couldn't otherwise afford to build itself.
The open question is retention screening is only useful if flagged children actually get referred and followed up on, and that referral infrastructure in government PHCs is historically the weakest link, not the technology.
The Bottom Line
Aignosis has picked the harder, lower-margin path government clinics over private hospitals and the next year will show whether that's a moat or a bottleneck.
