NEET PG Result Out: It's a PDF. Scorecard Comes 1 Oct, Full Details How To Check

NBEMS declared the NEET PG 2026 result on 24 September at natboard.edu.in. The result is published as a PDF listing qualified candidates rather than an individual login, so candidates should open the result notice and use Ctrl+F to search their roll number. Qualifying cut-offs are 262 marks for General and EWS candidates, 244 for PwBD and 226 for SC, ST and OBC. Individual scorecards showing percentile and category rank will only be available from 1 October, along with the provisional answer key and response sheets — released for the first time ever following a Supreme Court order.

How to actually check it

This is where most people are getting stuck today, so it is worth being precise.

Step 1. Go to natboard.edu.in. The result is also mirrored at nbe.edu.in.

Step 2. Look for the notice reading "Result of NEET-PG 2026 Declared". On some versions of the site it sits under the Public Notices section.

Step 3. Click it. A PDF opens.

Step 4. Press Ctrl+F on a computer, or use your PDF reader's search function on a phone, and type your roll number.

Step 5. Your total score and All India Rank appear beside it.

Step 6. Download it and take a printout.

If you are searching for a login page and cannot find one, that is because there is not one yet. The result at this stage is a single consolidated PDF of qualified candidates. Login-based access comes on 1 October with the individual scorecards.

If the PDF will not open or download, it is almost certainly server load. Try again in a few minutes, use a different browser, switch from mobile data to wi-fi or the reverse, or open the mirrored link at nbe.edu.in. Do not download the result from any third-party site claiming to host it.

The cut-offs

Meeting the cut-off is what makes you eligible for counselling. It is not the same as securing a seat, which depends entirely on your rank against the number of seats in the category and quota you are competing in.

All India Rank 1 was secured with 641 marks.

What this means for you

If you have qualified. Your next step is counselling, not celebration logistics. Start assembling documents now rather than when registration opens that is the point at which people discover a missing certificate and lose days.

If you have not qualified. The answer key on 1 October will let you see exactly where marks were lost, which is worth doing properly before deciding on next year. This is the first time that has ever been possible.

If you cannot find your roll number in the PDF. The published list contains qualified candidates. Absence from it generally means the cut-off was not met, but wait for your individual scorecard on 1 October before concluding anything, particularly if you sat the Jaipur re-examination.

If your result is withheld. This usually means required documents were not submitted with your application. Candidates in this position are not eligible for counselling until it is resolved, and NBEMS has historically been strict about post-deadline submissions. Contact the board immediately rather than waiting.

If you sat the 5 September re-examination in Jaipur. You are included in this result. A total of 2,416 candidates took that paper after a power failure at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura affected two test centres on 30 August.

If you are planning around percentile rather than marks. You will need the scorecard on 1 October. The PDF gives marks and rank; percentile and category rank come with the individual scorecard.

What is genuinely new this year

For the first time in the exam's history, NBEMS will publish the provisional answer key and candidate response sheets.

This follows a Supreme Court order from 2025 on transparency in the examination. From 1 October, candidates will be able to see, for each of the 180 questions: the question ID, the option they selected, the option NBEMS considers correct, and the marks awarded.

It is difficult to overstate how significant this is for an exam that has run for years with candidates having no way to verify their own scoring. If you have ever finished NEET PG convinced a particular question was wrongly keyed, 1 October is the first time you will be able to check.

The numbers behind the exam

2,63,544 candidates appeared on 30 August 2026.

A further 2,416 sat a re-examination on 5 September in Jaipur, after an internal power failure at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura test centre codes 41682 and 41683 prevented scheduled candidates from completing the paper.

The exam was held for admission to MD, MS, DNB and PG diploma programmes, competing for roughly 24,360 MD seats, 12,690 MS seats and 922 PG diploma seats across the 50% All India Quota, 50% state quota, deemed and central universities, ESIC and AFMS institutions, and private colleges.

What happens next, with dates

1 October 2026 Individual scorecards released at natboard.edu.in, downloadable by login. Provisional answer key and response sheets released the same day.

After that Counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee conducts the process for 50% All India Quota seats, deemed and central universities, ESIC and AFMS. State counselling authorities handle the remaining 50% state quota seats separately, each with its own registration window and document requirements.

Registration dates for counselling have not been announced yet. Watch mcc.nic.in and your own state's counselling authority, not third-party sites.

What to do this week

Download and save the result PDF now, with a screenshot of your entry. Result PDFs are sometimes replaced or revised.

Check your documents against the counselling requirement list. Internship completion certificate, MBBS degree, registration certificate, category certificate, PwBD certificate where applicable, domicile proof for state counselling.

Note the 30 September internship completion cut-off, which applied to eligibility for this cycle.

Set a reminder for 1 October for the scorecard and answer key.

Register on mcc.nic.in when it opens and keep state counselling portals bookmarked separately the two processes run in parallel and missing a state window because you were focused on AIQ is a common and expensive mistake.
