CAT 2026 Admit Card Release Date Changed

IIM Indore has revised the CAT 2026 admit card release schedule.

Earlier, the examination authority had planned to make the hall tickets available on November 4. The revised announcement confirms that the download facility will now begin on November 6, 2026.

According to the latest information, admit cards for all eligible candidates have already been generated. However, students will have to wait until the revised date to download them.

The hall ticket download window will remain open from November 6 to November 29, 2026.

Candidates should avoid relying on unofficial links or messages claiming that the admit card is available before the official download window opens.

CAT 2026 Important Dates

Candidates should carefully check the revised schedule to avoid missing any important update.

The examination date has not been changed. CAT 2026 will be conducted on November 29 in computer-based mode.

The examination authority has not specified an exact time for activating the admit card download link in the revised announcement. Candidates should check the official portal for the latest update.

Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official CAT website.

Official Website: iimcat.ac.in

Students should keep their CAT application login ID and password ready before visiting the website.

The admit card is an important document because it contains the information needed to appear for the examination.

How to Download CAT 2026 Admit Card? Step-by-Step Guide

What Details Will Be Mentioned on the CAT Admit Card?

After downloading the hall ticket, candidates should carefully check all the information printed on it.

The admit card is expected to contain important details such as:

• Candidate's name.

• Test session and reporting time.
• Examination centre name and address.
• Important examination-day instructions.

Students should make sure that their personal details are correct.

If there is any mistake in the name, photograph, signature or other important information, candidates should contact the official CAT helpdesk through the contact details provided on the official website.

Do not wait until examination day to report an error.

CAT 2026 Exam Date and Pattern

The CAT 2026 examination is scheduled for November 29, 2026.

It will be conducted as a computer-based test in three sessions across approximately 170 cities.

The examination is an important entrance test for admission to postgraduate management programmes at IIMs and other participating institutions.

According to the examination information reported by IIM Indore, candidates will receive 40 minutes for each section.

They will not be allowed to move to another section while answering questions in the current section.

The examination authority will provide the candidate's allotted session and centre details through the admit card.

CAT 2026 Mock Test Also Available From November 6

There is another important update for CAT aspirants.

IIM Indore has also announced that the CAT 2026 mock test will become available on November 6.

The mock test is designed to help candidates understand the examination interface and question format before the actual test.

Students can use it to become familiar with the computer-based examination process.

The mock test may help candidates understand:

• How to navigate between questions.
• How to select and submit answers.
• How the examination interface works.
• How to manage time during the test.
• How the different sections are displayed.

Candidates should use the mock test as a practice tool. It is not the actual examination and does not replace regular preparation.

Why Has the CAT 2026 Admit Card Been Delayed?

The revised schedule confirms that the admit card release date has moved from November 4 to November 6.

However, the announcement reported so far does not clearly explain the specific reason behind the two-day postponement.

Candidates should avoid believing unverified social media claims about the delay.

The examination authority has confirmed that admit cards for eligible candidates have been generated and that the download window will begin on November 6.

The official website remains the most reliable place to check any further explanation or announcement.

New Security Measures for CAT 2026

IIMs have also introduced additional security arrangements for the examination.

According to the latest reports, these measures include face matching and the use of mobile jammers at selected examination centres.

These steps are intended to strengthen examination security and prevent unfair practices.

Candidates should follow the instructions printed on their admit cards and avoid carrying prohibited electronic items to the examination centre.

They should also reach the centre according to the reporting time mentioned on their hall ticket.

Important Instructions for CAT 2026 Candidates

Candidates should keep the following points in mind before the examination:

• Download the admit card from the official CAT website only.
