Glastonbury 2027 tickets go on sale this week in two rounds: coach and ticket packages at 6pm BST on Thursday 1 October, and general admission at 9am BST on Sunday 4 October. Tickets cost £408 including the £5 booking fee, the first time Glastonbury has passed £400, payable as a £100 deposit at purchase with the remaining £308 due between 1 and 7 April 2027. Registration closed at 5pm on Friday 25 September, and anyone not already registered cannot buy a ticket in either sale. The festival returns to Worthy Farm from 23 to 27 June 2027 following its 2026 fallow year.

The dates and times

Thursday 1 October, 6pm BST — coach and ticket packages. Sunday 4 October, 9am BST standard general admission.

Both sales run through See Tickets. The festival itself runs Wednesday 23 June to Sunday 27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.

Check this before anything else

You must have a valid registration to buy a ticket. Registration closed at 5pm BST on Friday 25 September.

If you did not register by then, you cannot buy a ticket in either of this week's sales. There is no workaround, no late option and no exception. Registration will not reopen for submissions or amendments until after the October sales have finished.

Every person you are buying for needs their own valid registration, and you will need their registration number and postcode at checkout. Tickets are personalised to the registered holder and are strictly non-transferable, so you cannot buy one for someone who missed the deadline and hand it over.

If you registered years ago, your registration remains valid. Glastonbury has advised checking that the photograph attached to it is still a reasonable likeness of you.

What it costs, and when you actually pay

£408 per ticket, including the £5 booking fee. Postage and packing is excluded.

That is an increase of £29.50 on the £378.50 charged for Glastonbury 2025, around 7.8%, and it takes a standard Glastonbury weekend ticket past £400 for the first time. It also makes Glastonbury the first major UK festival to cross that mark.

You do not pay it all at once:

  • £100 deposit per person at the point of sale
  • £308 balance due between 1 April and 7 April 2027, from 9am BST on the 1st to 11.59pm BST on the 7th

You can secure up to six tickets in a single transaction, which is why most people buy in groups with one nominated person at the keyboard.

What that price covers is worth stating, because the headline number sounds different without it: five nights of camping and access to more than 100 stages across the site.

Tonight's sale is the easier one

This is the part worth acting on, and it gets buried in most coverage.

The coach sale is historically less contested than the Sunday general sale. Fewer people chase it, because it commits you to travelling by coach from a specified departure point, and a great many would-be festivalgoers prefer to drive or make their own arrangements.

What you get in exchange is a ticket plus guaranteed transport, and a materially better chance of actually securing one.

If you are registered, flexible on how you travel, and would rather be certain than optimistic, 6pm tonight is a better bet than 9am Sunday. Treating the coach sale as a fallback for people who miss out on Sunday is the wrong way round it comes first for a reason.

What you are up against

Glastonbury 2025 general admission sold out in 35 minutes.

Capacity is around 200,000, and demand has consistently run far beyond it. 2026 was a scheduled fallow year, when the farm is rested, which means two years of accumulated demand is pointed at a single sale.

Practical preparation, which is dull and works:

Have your registration numbers and postcodes written down and open before the sale starts. Not in an email you have to search for.

Use one browser, one device, one tab. Opening multiple tabs or devices can remove you from the queue rather than improve your odds.

Be in the queue before the sale opens, not at the moment it opens.

Have your card details ready, and tell your bank if a sudden £600 transaction is likely to trigger a block.

Nominate one person to buy for the group rather than everyone trying simultaneously and competing with each other.

If you miss both

There is a resale, usually in April, when tickets are returned by people who have not paid their balance.

It is considerably smaller than the main sale and splits into the same two rounds — a coach and ticket package sale, followed by a general admission sale. The resale is the last realistic opportunity, and it is harder than the October sales rather than easier, because the pool is far smaller.

Who is playing

Nobody knows yet, and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.

Glastonbury does not announce its line-up until well after tickets go on sale, which is deliberate the festival sells out on its reputation rather than its bill. Headliner speculation will run through the winter with the first announcements typically arriving in the spring.

You are buying a ticket to Glastonbury, not to a line-up. That has always been the arrangement.

Questions readers ask

When do Glastonbury 2027 tickets go on sale?

In two rounds. Coach and ticket packages go on sale at 6pm BST on Thursday 1 October 2026, and standard general admission tickets at 9am BST on Sunday 4 October 2026. Both sales take place through See Tickets.

How much are Glastonbury 2027 tickets?

£408 per person including the £5 booking fee, excluding postage and packing. That is an increase of £29.50 on the £378.50 charged for Glastonbury 2025, around 7.8%, and the first time a standard Glastonbury ticket has cost more than £400.

Do I have to pay the full amount upfront?

No. A £100 deposit per person is payable at the point of sale, with the remaining £308 balance due between 1 April and 7 April 2027, from 9am BST on 1 April to 11.59pm BST on 7 April.

Can I still register for Glastonbury 2027 tickets?

No. Registration closed at 5pm BST on Friday 25 September 2026, and anyone not already registered cannot buy a ticket in either sale. Registrations cannot be submitted, edited or resubmitted until after the October ticket sales have finished.

Is my old Glastonbury registration still valid?

Yes. Existing registrations remain valid, though the festival recommends checking that the photograph attached to your registration is still a good likeness.

How many tickets can I buy?

Up to six in a single transaction. You will need the registration number and postcode of every person you are buying for, and each of them must have their own valid registration.
