TOSS Hall Tickets Are Out and Exams Start 11 October: But One Deadline Falls Tomorrow.

The Telangana Open School Society has released hall tickets for its October 2026 SSC and Intermediate public examinations, available now in the Halltickets section at telanganaopenschool.org. The theory exams run from 11 to 17 October, and students will not be admitted to the examination hall without a printed hall ticket. A separate deadline falls sooner: the last date to submit the TOSS online admission OTR fee and application without a fine is 30 September. Students are also advised to visit their allotted examination centre at least two days before their first paper.

The deadline almost nobody is leading with

Start with this one, because it expires first and because coverage of the hall tickets has largely buried it.

30 September is the last date to submit the TOSS online admission OTR fee, complete the application and pay without a fine. TOSS has already extended this once the notice on its website refers to an extension of the admission fee without fine for the 2026-27 session.

If you are enrolling rather than sitting exams next month, that is the date on your calendar, not 11 October.

Miss it and admission is generally still possible with a late fee, but you pay more and you are dependent on whatever window the board opens. Doing it before the deadline costs nothing extra.

Downloading your hall ticket

Hall tickets went live on 26 September and are on the TOSS website now.

Go to telanganaopenschool.org, find the Halltickets section on the homepage, and open the link for TOSS SSC and Intermediate Theory Public Exams October 2026. Enter your credentials and download the document.

Print it. Do not rely on a phone screen. Print at least two copies and keep one somewhere separate from your bag, because a lost hall ticket on exam morning is a genuinely serious problem and centres are not obliged to accommodate you without one.

Hall tickets are also dispatched to Accredited Institutions, so if you cannot access the website your AI centre should hold a copy.

Check every detail the moment you download it. Your name, the spelling of it, your subject list, your photograph, your roll number, your exam centre and the dates and timings of your papers. If anything is wrong, raise it with your Accredited Institution immediately rather than in October. Errors take time to correct and the board will not fix them at the gate.

The exam dates

Theory examinations run 11 to 17 October 2026 for both SSC and Intermediate.

Your individual paper dates and timings are printed on your own hall ticket. Do not plan from a general schedule subject combinations vary between candidates in open schooling far more than in regular schools, and your dates may not match a classmate's.

In previous TOSS sessions, theory papers have been conducted in two sittings, a morning session and an afternoon session, and candidates have been asked to report to their centres well before the start. Treat that as the likely pattern rather than a certainty, and go by what your hall ticket says.

Visit the centre before exam day

TOSS has specifically advised candidates to visit their allotted examination centre at least two days in advance.

This is sensible advice that students routinely ignore and then regret. Open school centres are frequently not the institution you studied at, they may be in an unfamiliar part of the city, and October mornings in Hyderabad traffic are not the moment to discover that the address on your hall ticket is a twenty-minute walk from where the map dropped you.

Go once, find the gate, work out the travel time, and add half an hour to it on the day.

What happens after the exams

Worth knowing in advance, because the questions come up every session.

In recent TOSS sessions the pass mark has been 35% in each subject and 35% overall. Candidates who fall short in a subject have been able to sit supplementary examinations rather than repeating the year, and the board has made re-evaluation of answer scripts and recounting of marks available, with the schedule announced separately after results.

Results in past October sessions have been published on telanganaopenschool.org, with candidates needing their hall ticket number to access them another reason to keep the document safe rather than discarding it after your last paper.

These arrangements are drawn from how previous sessions operated. Confirm the current rules from the board's own announcements rather than assuming they carry over unchanged.

What TOSS is, briefly

The Telangana Open School Society provides schooling through open and distance learning for students who are not in the conventional school system people who left education early, working adults, candidates who need to clear a subject, and anyone whose circumstances did not fit a regular classroom.

It conducts SSC and Intermediate public examinations twice a year, in April-May and October-November, which is a large part of its value. A student who misses or fails one session is not waiting a full year for another chance.

That structure is also why the two deadlines in this article sit so close together. The April 2026 session has been completed and its results and web memos published, while admissions for the next cycle and examinations for the current one are running in parallel.

Today: download your hall ticket, check every field on it, and print two copies.

Before 9 October: visit your examination centre and work out how you will get there.
